Fire Load Insulation

Since many fires result from defect cables and electric distributions, the fire loads in escape routes must be kept as small as possible.  According to the German legal specifications, electric circuit systems may not affect the fire resistance of the materials or components which were used in this building. (Please see the German (Muster-)LeitungsanlagenRichtlinie MLAR 3.1.2. „Leitungsanlagen in Rettungswegen“ for further reference). The examination for the fire load insulation is executed according to the German Industrial Standard DIN 4102 part 11.

EAS offers a great variety of examined and certified revision covers in many sizes and executions for the installation into different wall constructions. They can be flexibly adjusted to the protection objective and the local conditions.

Project Example 1

Renovation of the fire-protection infrastructure in an office building

The installation shafts in the corridors leading to the stairway were only covered with simple metal doors without fire resistant characteristics. In the case of a fire in the circuit system the escape routes would instantly be filled with smoke and unusable.  The EAS solution: In order to provide escape routes which are free from smoke and fire, the existing metal doors where exchanged by fire-resistant revision covers SECURUS UPT90.

Project Example 2

Reconstruction measures in an administration building

According to the applicable fire protection regulations the existing doors covering the revision openings in front of the heating and ventilation tubes had to be exchanged by fire resistant covers. The EAS solution: The old wooden claddings were removed and exchanged by a flush-mounted door SECURUS UPT90.
